Garbage

Your garbage collection day is Wednesday.  Please have your cart to the curb by 7:00 a.m. on your collection day.  Be sure to remove your cart from the curb at the end of the collection day.  Do NOT place Hazardous materials (corrosive, ignitable, toxic, reactive) such as solvents, paints, and cleaners, Liquids, antifreeze, motor oil, used oil filters, pesticides, herbicides, lead-acid batteries, untreated medical waste, sharp needles unless contained in a rigid, leak-proof puncture resistant labeled container, radioactive material, explosives, sludges, asbestos waste, hot ashes, animal and/or fowl fecal matter, dead animals, corrugated cardboard, or other recyclables in your cart.  Bagging garbage before placing it in your cart reduces odor, vermin, and insects.  Clean your cart periodically with soap and water.  If you need additional carts or service, please contact the Town Hall at (910) 296-0369.

Yard Waste

Yard debris such as leaves, grass and plant clippings, and limbs and small trees up to 3 inch diameter and 6 inches in length is collected the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month.

Sewer

Min. Usage (0 - 3,000) gallons $15.00 Flat Rate

Ascending  (4,000 - 10,000)  $3.75 per 1,000 gallons
               (11,000 - 50,000) $4.00 per 1,000 gallons
                   (51,000 - >)    $4.25 per 1,000 gallons

Sanitation

$13.50 for one 90 - gallon Zarn Cart

$5.00 each additional cart

Summary

Water Fees multiply $3.75 by the number of thousand gallons used above 3,000 gallons minimum and add the basic $10.00 minimum to get the total water bill.  The sewer part of the bill is an ascending or increasing rate.  In an ascending or increasing rate structure, additional gallons used over minimum will be charged at a slightly higher rate.  Sanitation fees are set at $13.50 for one 90 - gallon Zarn Cart and each additional Zarn cart is an additional $5.00 per cart.
